We will give you an explanation of the tour while you will have complimentary coffee, tea, juices and sweet bread at your disposal.

After the explanation and having answered all your questions we will leave on the boats, it usually takes about 45 minutes to get to the whale shark site and there will be chances to see dolphins and manta rays along the way, you will be able to swim with the whale sharks twice and up to 3 or 4 times if the conditions are perfect and the captain thinks it is safe to do so, the swim is done in pairs in the water with our guide. You can also bring your camera or video camera with you or rent a Gopro with us for $50 usd with the memory included which you can take with you at the end with all the recorded information. Either way, our guide will help you take photos and videos during the excursion.

After swimming with the whale sharks we will go to the reef of Isla Contoy or Isla Mujeres depending on which of the two is closer to the place where we will find the whale sharks that day.

During the trip sandwiches, water and soft drinks are served. Once at the reef while you snorkel in its crystal clear waters we will prepare a ceviche that you can enjoy with soft drinks or water.

Vegan or vegetarian food can be provided if you let us know in advance.

We have the safest and fastest boats in the area, they have two engines, stairs to be able to get on and off without problems as well as an awning to protect you from the sun and an emergency bathroom.

They measure up to 35 feet long which is the longest measurement authorized for this tour.

It is important to mention that to find and see the whale sharks we go out into the open sea and sometimes it is rough. Most of the time the conditions are very good or perfect and everything goes very well but as we all know the sea changes every moment and the conditions are sometimes not so good including rough sea and rain.

When it is too rough or dangerous the port is closed and we never go out in this case but sometimes even if it does not look very good if the port captain does not close the port and gives us permission to go out to sea we operate the tour as do the other companies.

Whale sharks are animals that live in the sea, they are not at all dangerous but their behavior is unpredictable, very often you see 60 of them or more as well as manta rays, dolphins and sea turtles but sometimes you see only one of them.

You will be picked up from your hotel between 4:40 am – 7 am depending on your starting location (Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum – Akumal, Riviera Maya, Isla Mujeres, Holbox). Our boats are very close to Cancun in our private marina in Puerto Juarez, where the tour departs.
